Duties and Positions follows tight QA standards & rules and conducts in-house bakery testing in accordance with the standardized processes (SOP) to guarantee that clients receive effective service & high-quality outcomes. Strategic 1. Conduct routine daily standardized baking tests on Grand Mill’s or Co-manufactured flour and sporadically on competitor’s flour to ascertain baking properties in necessary bread applications. 2. Help and encourage the R&D team in putting NPD and grist change into practice. 3. Support and help the commercial team when they visit clients by offering technical guidance and comments as needed. Qualitative Obligations 4. Manage samples and carry out analyses in accordance with protocols and test techniques, making sure that local and global standards are met. 5. Finish the daily tastings with a chosen panel. 6. Make sure that calibration and maintenance are performed to keep the baking equipment in good working order. 7. Continue to maintain effective and efficient baking procedures that meet deadlines and yield high-quality results on schedule. 8. Track developments, document process observations, and evaluate outcomes. 9. Make sure the test baking results are accurate. Production Charges 10. Raise concerns about the final product’s specifications through the appropriate channels in a timely and honest manner. 11. Use a baking test to assist with the examination of consumer complaints. 12. Help with the production-readying of the flour additive. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Accountabilities 13. Keep up and assist with a secure, functional Test Bakery. Accountability for Expenses 14. Keep the test bakery’s consumables at the right amount of inventory. Ideal Candidate Profile Minimum Requirements: Minimum Experience: A formal baking qualification or a Bachelor of Science in any comparable field of food science, ideally in food technology Experience in a bakery or food manufacturing laboratory of at least two years is required. Functional knowledge Scientific understanding of bread and flour, Job-Specific Skills: Capacity to comprehend goods and the importance of testing carried out. Capacity to test and bake items made using flour. Keep the equipment clean and prepare the standards.
