As a Reservations Agent, you should:
Keep the office running smoothly with good management.
Follow all standard guidelines.
Be responsible for helping to sell more products and reaching the money goals each month.
Always know the hotel’s selling strategy, prices, packages, group deals, and booking information.
Handle and reply to all booking requests and questions within 24 hours, following company rules.
Take care of daily follow-up reports as needed by the department.
Check the expected arrivals 1, 3, and 7 days in advance as per the guidelines and make sure to confirm the bookings again.
In the department that will help prevent and find double bookings, unconfirmed reservations, filing mistakes, and other errors.
Know and follow the hotel rules about no-shows, cancellations, payments, and deposits.
Stay informed about the latest details on the hotel, such as room types, prices, features, dining options, promotions, spa and gym services, and other amenities.
Take charge of making sure the product and service are the best they can be and that guests are happy. Make sure to bring up and check on any problems that guests have, and follow up on them quickly.
Check daily arrivals by making sure all guest requests are fulfilled, all reasonable expectations are met, and bookings are respected.
Requirements
At least two years of working experience in the Front Office or Reservations area.
Understanding how hotels run, the technology they use (like PMS and RMS), and all the ways they sell their services.
Know how local markets work, who the nearby competitors are, and what events are happening in the area.
Knowing another language is a plus, especially if you speak Arabic.
