We want to hire an experienced Data Officer to begin working in August 2024. The person chosen for the job will take care of the school’s information system (iSAMS) and ensure it works well. They will also manage student performance data and reporting.
Needs:
At least 3 years of experience working in IT or data in a job setting.
You need to have strong knowledge and experience working with iSAMS and handling student achievement data.
Skilled at using Excel and other database programs. Be able to look at and show achievement and progress information clearly.
Understanding what data is needed for school inspections.
Show excellent writing and speaking in English.
Show ability to use computer programs like Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and other similar software for school and work activities.
You need to pay close attention to details, be very accurate, and be able to work on your own.
It’s very helpful to have knowledge or experience working in both Primary and Secondary schools.
Great at organizing things and getting along with people.
Good at talking to people and paying close attention to details.
Can handle many tasks at the same time and stay calm during busy moments.
Main Duties:
Take care of and keep the Whole School Assessment and Tracking system running.
Get ready for the beginning and end of the school year.
Work together to include and improve important data, processes, and procedures into the school’s current information management systems (like iSAMS, Learning Ladders, and Seesaw).
Help set up and keep the school timetable updated in iSAMS.
Set up and take care of new iSAMS features.
Create and handle user accounts and what they can do.
Keep an eye on who can use the system and ensure it’s safe.
Help system users with basic tasks.
Help with reporting tasks.
Make templates, organize them, and share them on the parent portal.
Import assessment information (for example, CAT4, GL Progress Test, and internal assessment results.
Give data reports that include information about expected grades.
Talk to senior and middle leaders about what the data means and what it could lead to.
Talk to the IT Department about anything related to the school’s iSAMS system. Setting up new systems or parts, updating them, managing users and their accounts, and fixing problems.
Create clear procedures and best methods for using and maintaining the ISAMS system. This includes writing instructions and advice for everyone involved.
Give your thoughts on how well the systems work together.
Give training and help to different groups of people who use the system, including training for new teachers.
Help with other IT tasks when needed.
Look after the School Reports email.
