The Head of Swimming at Cognita Middle East and its Enrichment Academy, ENRICH ME, is looking to hire active and skilled lifeguards to work at our schools in Dubai, UAE. The main job is to make sure that everyone using the pool – including students, staff, parents, and visitors – is safe and secure. This includes helping anyone who might need a rescue. The job will also include simple tasks like cleaning and taking care of the pool.

This is a great chance to join a new and growing swimming team. The successful candidates will really enjoy helping young children improve their swimming skills. They will make sure every student tries their best by creating a good learning environment and building strong connections with students, parents, and staff.

Main Responsibilities

To keep a close eye on the pool and its surroundings.
Overseeing swimming activities at the school pool or swimming area, making sure that all rules, guidelines, and safety measures are followed at all times.
Warns swimmers about unsafe or risky actions in or near the pool.
Check the pool and its equipment often to make sure they are safe, and tell the ENRICH ME Experience Manager right away if you find any problems.
Helps swimmers who are in trouble or about to drown and gives first aid if someone is hurt.
Check the pool, its equipment, and the water regularly to make sure everything is safe, following the set rules.
Oversee and help with cleaning the pool and related areas and equipment.
Helps the swimming teachers show students the basics of swimming when needed.
Go to regular Lifeguard training sessions to keep improving your skills and meet the job requirements.
PROTECTING DUTIES

To follow the rules, guidelines, and expected behavior for keeping everyone safe.
To show that I care about keeping students and coworkers safe and healthy.
To make sure that any safety issues or problems are reported properly according to the rules.
To take safety training when needed.
Job Requirements

Important Skills

Being good at swimming in all kinds of water.

Swim 100 meters in less than 2 minutes.
Certified EIAC lifeguard for pools, trained to work in water up to 2. 4 meters deep
Valid DCAS First Aid certification – at least level 3 Emergency First Aid, CPR/AED for all age groups.
The ability to look at how people swim and quickly understand what they can do and if they’re safe.
(Understanding English is important) and working together as a team.
The ability to stay calm and handle emergencies well.
Nice to have or wanted.

Having a full driving license is preferred.
Experience in caring for and managing a swimming pool.
Experience helping special needs students in the pool.
EXPERIENCE means what you have lived or done in your life. It’s about the things you have learned from those events or situations.

At least 12 months of experience working as a lifeguard.

Having a job in education is beneficial.
