Job Overview
Roles and Duties
Do everyday woodworking tasks on ships and in the workshop. This includes building wooden structures like walls, floors, stairs, and door frames.
Oversee the work done in the workshop and on the boat. This includes making and installing things like walls, ceilings, doors, windows, fabric coverings, and furniture.
Work with other foremen and supervisors to make sure we use our resources as best as we can, aiming to finish the project successfully.
Regular checks on equipment, such as. oil levels, how the machine is working, problems, etc.
Help the Supervisors plan activities and make sure that all the resources and people needed are organized to meet the project’s needs.
Make sure the workers have the right machines, tools, equipment, and materials, and that everything is in good condition and working properly.
Check to make sure that the workers are doing their jobs as expected.
Make daily progress reports and let the supervisor know about any important information. Not enough resources, too much supply, health and safety issues, and quality problems.
Give feedback on employee performance and training needs, encourage, and help team members grow.
Keep track of daily tasks in your job to make sure work keeps going smoothly.
Candidate Profile Wanted
Learning
– Middle School
– Completed Higher Secondary School or +2 or ITI (Industrial Training Institute)
Training means learning new skills or improving existing ones through practice and instruction.
– Job training
Leadership training means learning how to be a good leader.
– Speaking skills
– Training at the shipyard
Experience means what you have learned or gone through in life.
– 10 years of experience in carpentry and fitting out interiors for boats, with 2-3 years in marine work. as a lead carpenter.
– Background in the Oil & Gas and Offshore industry.
