Commis II helps the kitchen team by providing great service and support.
Job Duties
Help the Chef de Partie with daily tasks and work.
Follow the menu instructions.
Get the ingredients ready and cook food in different areas of the main kitchen each day.
Get ready, cook, and serve all cold and hot food, including special orders for buffets and events.
Make sure the temperature of appliances and food is correct. Keep track of how much food is made and how much is served on each plate.
Make sure the food is served in the right amount, is nicely arranged, and has good decoration. Put the right amount of food into the right containers.
Set up, clean, and take down the work area after serving.
Manage the food supplies in your area.
Make sure that daily preparation is done with the best quality and consistency.
Work together with other teams to make sure we have what we need, keep things clean, and reduce waste.
Show how to use all kitchen tools safely and correctly.
Make sure to wear your complete uniform all the time.
Candidate Profile We Are Looking For
Qualifications/Skills can be simplified to “What you need to have or know. ”
Person with a basic Cooking Certificate
Holds a basic Health and Hygiene Certificate.
To know all health, safety, and fire rules and follow them.
2 years of experience working in a kitchen.
Knowing how to use kitchen tools and appliances.
Can handle stress and work quickly in a busy setting.
Always take action and show readiness.
A strong wish to get better at skills and learn more.
The ability to complete your own work by a set due date.
Find your own answers to the small problems that come up sometimes.
