We are looking for a motivated and goal-focused Assistant Business Development Manager to join our team.
Job Description: As an Assistant Business Development Manager in the EdTech industry, your job will be to find new business opportunities, develop and keep good relationships with clients, and help increase sales. Your main job will be to sell our learning products and services to schools, colleges, universities, and other places that teach.
Main Duties:
Market Research and Analysis: Do research to find possible clients, understand market trends, and look at what competitors are offering.
Look at what customers want and give ideas to adjust our products and services to better meet those needs.
Finding New Customers: Look for potential customers and check if they might be interested by using different methods like making phone calls, sending emails, meeting people, and attending industry events.
Build and keep a strong list of possible clients.
Sales Strategy Development: Make a clear plan to help us sell more and make more money.
Work together with the marketing team to create useful sales documents and advertising materials.
Client Engagement and Building Relationships: Create and keep good connections with important people in schools and colleges.
Know what the client wants and needs so you can provide specific solutions for them.
Show our educational technology products and services to potential customers, pointing out their advantages and worth.
Answer client questions and concerns clearly and well.
Negotiating and Finalizing Contracts: Talk with clients to agree on contracts that have good terms for us.
Get signed contracts and finalize agreements.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Keep clear and current records of sales activities, customer conversations, and progress in the CRM system.
Send sales updates and predictions to the management team regularly.
Keep up with what’s happening in the EdTech world and new ways of teaching.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a similar area (having an MBA is an advantage).
Have solid experience in business-to-business sales, especially in the education technology field.
Good knowledge of education tools and current trends.
Great at talking and showing ideas clearly.
Focused on getting results and driven to succeed, with a strong history of reaching or surpassing sales goals.
Willingness to travel to meet clients and go to industry events when necessary.
Skilled in using CRM software and Microsoft Office programs.
Good at negotiating and managing contracts.
