Global Finance is important to HSBC’s goals and plans. It helps manage expenses and use money wisely. Our worldwide team of finance experts works with the business to offer reliable information and helpful analysis. They focus on being accurate, efficient, and keeping things in control to help guide business decisions. We are looking for a skilled person to join our team as a Strategic Cost Management Analyst for MENAT.

Job purpose

The main job of this role is to help the regional head of Analysis & Insight (A&I) create and share useful information for different Regional and Group teams. This information will help with business, investment, and strategic choices.

Main duties
Create several management reports about financial performance for the Executive Committee, Board, and regulators quickly, without losing data quality, because the deadlines are tight.
Provide helpful analysis and comments about the UAE banking industry to assist the UAE ExCo and HBME Board in making decisions.
Offer quick financial analysis to assist decisions, pointing out risks and chances related to achieving financial plans.
Help the offshore team use their time and resources wisely.
Main tasks are:
Getting the basic data ready using Excel sheets and other tools.
Doing analytical reviews and looking at important differences in data.
Showing information in charts and tables that are easy for executives to understand. This includes taking charge of the final PowerPoint slides or Word document parts when needed.
Creating clear and helpful comments.
Getting and checking information from places like finance systems (for example, banking software). TM1), information from coworkers and outside sources (for example, Sure. Please provide the text you’d like me to simplify.
Going over the work to make sure everything is consistent and makes sense, including looking at differences between versions and ensuring that Excel data matches what’s in the PowerPoint slides.

Needs
Work History & Skills:

You need a bachelor’s degree to get a UAE visa.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field.
Experience in analyzing and predicting data for a global company (not just in banking) that shows a technical knowledge of what affects the reported figures.
A keen interest in technology and new ideas, and how they can be used at work.
Good understanding of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Great talking and writing skills, along with good planning and organizing abilities.
Can confidently talk to team members and create good relationships in a team-based company.
Being curious about how things work and why, along with the ability to ask questions and challenge the usual way of doing things.
