As a professional in your job, your tasks and main duties will include, but are not just limited to:
Say hello and welcome people when they arrive.
Help guests with their bags.
Tell about what the hotel has and what it offers.
Show guests to their rooms and tell them about the room’s features.
Answer guests’ questions and fix problems quickly.
Keep the front desk tidy and organized.
Work together with other hotel teams to help guests.
Help with people arriving and leaving, and with phone calls.
You should have some or all of these skills and experience:
High school diploma or similar education.
Experience in customer service, especially in a hotel or hospitality job, is preferred.
Good communication and people skills.
Great skills in organizing things and doing multiple tasks at the same time.
Being strong and able to lift and carry heavy bags.
Looking and acting professionally.
Knowing how to use a computer and being comfortable with hotel management software is helpful.
Understanding local places to visit and how to get around.
Ability to work different hours, like evenings, weekends, and holidays.
