Jobs and Duties
Main Duties:
Use the tower crane to lift, move, and put down things like materials, machines, or building equipment.
Make sure the crane is set up correctly and stays steady while it works.
Check the Crane and Equipment: Before using the tower crane, check it to make sure it is safe and working properly.
Tell the site manager or maintenance team about any problems with machines or safety.
Follow Safety Rules: Stick to all safety guidelines to avoid accidents.
Make sure the crane is used within its safe weight limit.
Keep in touch with the ground crew using hand signs, radios, or other methods.
Work together with the site team: Team up with the riggers and signal people to make sure loads are handled safely.
Make sure to tie down loads safely and move them in a way that doesn’t hurt people, damage property, or harm buildings.
Keep a Crane Operations Log: Write down all crane activities, maintenance checks, and any problems or breakdowns that happen.
Help with Site Organization: Plan crane work ahead of time to make sure materials are placed efficiently.
Co-operate with site managers to change where the crane is and how it is set up as the building project moves forward.
Make sure to turn off the crane safely and park it properly when your work shift is done.
Follow the steps to take apart and move the crane if needed.
Job Seeker Requirements
A current certificate or license to operate a tower crane.
Worked as a Tower Crane Operator on big construction sites before.
Understanding how to use, take care of, and follow safety rules for tower cranes.
The skill to understand load charts, drawings, and site plans.
Good communication skills to work well with site teams.
Being fit enough to work long hours and meet the physical challenges of running a crane.
