To plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of the Fitness & Group Classes divisions within the J Club, maintaining established quality standards. To plan, implement, and promote activities throughout the club including special events.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct interviews with candidates to ensure quality hires.
Train and supervise staff, including drawing up fitness staff rotas and weekly 1/2/1s.
Ensure that team members are appraised, consulted, and developed for mutual benefit and continuous growth.
Design and promote activities to meet customer demand and generate revenue.
Conduct health & safety checks on the facility and plant (snag list) and arrange for maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of facility and equipment.
Maintain Jumeirah’s high levels of customer service to avoid losing existing members and achieve set customer service standards.
Deliver monthly fitness training or coaching workshops.
Handle complaints and incidents.
Manage stated areas to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Actively promote and encourage participation of guests and club members in activities.
Report regularly to the Club General Manager and coordinate with other hotel departments.
Arrange the monthly Group Exercise schedule, including meeting 1/2/1s with freelancers to set events, activations, and challenges.
Monitor the fitness levels of Personal Trainers to ensure adherence to set personal fitness standards.
Monitor and assist Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors to achieve set PT session targets.
Complete 100% of the new member journey.
Prepare and execute action plans for low performance and exit poor performers if necessary.
Ensure monthly fitness budgets are achieved.
Manage performance of colleagues to ensure high levels of consistency throughout the operation.
Maintain a high level of personal fitness with an aspirational physique to lead by example.
Ensure all fitness checklists are updated.
Ensure fitness equipment undergoes regular PPM.
Deliver up to 50 PT sessions per month.
Cover any needed group classes.
Prepare monthly fitness challenges.
Manage Myzone challenges and registrations, including sales of MZ.
Experience:

Minimum 2 years managing a fitness department in any fitness company.
Comfortable and educated to deliver group classes.
Experience in the Health and Fitness industry in a 5-star Hospitality environment.
Competencies:

High level of written and verbal business English.
Organized and able to prioritize and work to deadlines.
Competent in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Knowledge of business acumen, creative thinking, and problem-solving.
Motivational skills, energy, and resilience.
Flexibility and multi-tasking skills.
Customer-focused, approachable, and outgoing personality.
Ability to relate to the requirements of customers from all age groups and sectors of society, including people with special needs.
