Gets the treatment room ready for the patient by following the set steps and rules.
Gets the patient ready for dental work by greeting them, making them feel calm, and covering them with a cloth.
Cleans and prepares tools by following safety rules to prevent infection. Brings tools to the dentist and arranges them so the dentist can easily reach them. Hands over the tools as needed.
Get the materials ready by choosing, mixing, and putting them on tools and in the patient’s mouth.
Gives important health information by taking and processing X-ray pictures.
Keeps the patient looking good and able to chew by making temporary dental solutions and cleaning removable dental devices.
Teaches patients about keeping their mouths clean, how to manage plaque, and what to do after their surgery.
Records dental care services by writing notes in the patient’s file.
Keeps patient trust and safeguards operations by keeping information private.
Keeps the workplace safe and clean by following rules and procedures.
Makes sure dental tools work well by doing regular checks, following the manufacturer’s guidelines, fixing problems, asking for repairs when needed, keeping track of equipment, and looking at new tools and methods.
Keeps track of dental supplies by checking how much is in stock, figuring out what is needed, ordering supplies, and making sure the supplies are received.
Saves dental resources by using tools and materials only when necessary to get the job done.
Keeps up with work skills and knowledge by going to workshops, reading professional magazines, making connections with others, and being part of professional groups.
Helps the dentist handle dental and medical emergencies by keeping a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, emergency medicine and oxygen, and a list of emergency phone numbers.

A Diploma in Dental Assisting or Dental Nursing (which takes at least two years) or a similar certificate, or being a Registered Nurse or Assistant Nurse (with a valid license from the Department of Health).
Dental Assistant approved by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (DOH).
Dental license from your home country.
At least two years of experience in the related area.
