The Job

RAK Academy Al Hamra is seeking a helpful and motivated School Assistant to be part of their team.

Job Purpose: The reason this job exists.

To help all students and make sure the lessons are taught well. To help with different tasks by handling important office activities. To work well together with a dedicated team of teachers and Teaching Assistants. Connecting and talking clearly with the support team. Help the store with keeping track of items and paperwork.

Main Tasks

Class Assistant Duties

As directed by the teacher, lead small group activities with a specific group of kids. Share the responsibility for larger activities and use the right ways to communicate and interact with all the children.
Help the teaching team with all tasks, including cleaning, serving meals, and keeping records.
Help kids eat, get dressed, and go to the bathroom.
Help cover for other staff members when they take breaks.
Watch over lunch and playground activities every day, as well as trips and walks.
Watch the students all the time to keep them safe and make sure the school rules are followed during the day.
Encourage teachers to focus on each child by helping them with things like setting up games, getting supplies for crafts, and doing printing tasks.
Keep the classroom tidy and organized to help the teacher and make sure the kids can learn in a safe and clean place.
Helping students move between their regular teacher, special teachers, and break times.
Other tasks given to you.
Store Keeper Duties

Keep track of receipts, records, and items taken from stock. Enter all invoices and GRNs into the system. Update the inventory system every day.
Get deliveries according to your purchase orders and put the supplies in their assigned spots.
Give out products to people who ask for them and keep track of delivery records in the system.
Make sure to follow all rules for giving out and getting stock in the store.
Do other tasks related to stock, like returning items, packing them, and putting labels on supplies.
Check and count the items in stock to see how much is there and what is needed.
Make sure to keep good records and handle all documents to verify stock levels and keep track of inventory. Check and keep track of supplies regularly.
Copying and Office Duties

Get ready and show displays of students’ work: teachers will decide what work to show.
Help teachers with scanning, printing, or photocopying to create documents, brochures, leaflets, and other materials to assist with learning and teaching.
Completing copied items by cutting, putting them together, or covering them with plastic.
Occasionally help teachers and support staff with other tasks such as typing documents and entering student information, making class lists, keeping records, organizing files, gathering materials, counting supplies, organizing equipment, preparing, giving out, and taking care of equipment and materials, and ordering new supplies and equipment.
The person applying must have:

High School Diploma or something similar.
You need at least 1 year of work experience in schools or similar jobs in a public agency or private company.
Experience working with kids.
Ability to read, write, and speak basic English, gather information, and keep records and documents.
Can listen to instructions and talk clearly.
The skills to use safety tools like a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher.
Skill in interacting positively with kids who have disabilities.
The ability to improve skills to keep up with changes at work.
