Work Objective The main duty is to make it easier for trucks and airplanes to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently. It plays a crucial part in guaranteeing cargo warehouse management, appropriate stowage, compliance with weight and balance regulations, and scrupulous adherence to safety protocols. Help clients and provide outstanding customer service. Coordination with cargo team members and following established norms also contribute to overall flight punctuality and operational performance. The capacity to operate in a dynamic environment, pay close attention to detail, and be committed to safety are critical for maintaining the seamless operation of cargo operations. Accountabilities in Function Domain of Input Important Tasks Not Applicable Financial Procedure • Welcome, help, and direct passengers at the cargo terminal. • Cargo loading and unloading from trucks. The assembly and disassembly of the cargo ULD. • Provide internal stakeholders with support as needed, following supervisor instructions. • Cargo loading and unloading at the ramp for airplanes. • Recognize and arrange various cargo kinds in the cargo warehouse’s assigned spaces. • Ensure that all operating procedures and safety guidelines—including maintaining the cargo terminal’s cleanliness—are properly followed. • Finish any other official tasks as directed by the manager. • Starting, carrying out, and monitoring the required corrective activities. • Comply with SOPs and work instructions provided by cargo, the airport, and the airlines. • Cargo discrepancy reporting. • Finishing the assignment in the allotted time. • Be proactive in your efforts to pick up new abilities and stay away from illegal activity. Reporting • Present yourself to Senior Cargo. • Clear and concise communication of all section authorities, duties, and responsibilities. Internal Relationships and Communication: Passenger Service Agent, Senior Cargo Officer, Ground Handling Supervisor, Apron Supervisor Reasons for Contact: Police, Customs, Airlines; Departmental and Operational External Motives for Communication: • Functional Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Qualifications Qualifications for Education • Proficiency in Arabic and English is advantageous. • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and manage weights efficiently are requirements of the role. In order to ensure the safe and effective loading and unloading of goods onto and from aircraft, it is essential for this role that the individual be able to lift and carry moderate to high weights. • Preferably a high school diploma. Professional Background • The capacity to pick up and apply knowledge quickly. • It is advised to have a valid driver’s license in the UAE. Experience that is necessary Ideally, you have 1-2 years of cargo/logistics handling experience. Additional Conditions- Accountability and responsibility for safety Each employee is responsible to the Head of Department and their supervisor(s) for the following safety duties: • To abide by the safety regulations specified in their training; • To comply with the pertinent safety requirements and procedures described in the Safety Management System and Cargo Service Manual, as well as any other instructions or notices provided by Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. • To identify and report any scenario of possible danger or concern affecting safety via one of the following channels, and to notify their Head of Department and the Airport Duty Officer team of any safety event or system failure. · Submit a straight report to the immediate supervisor or the Safety Department. • Filing a report on an incident or accident. • Assist with safety audits and inquiries as they happen.
