complete job description All front desk staff are trained, cross-trained, and retrained. takes part in the hiring process for front desk staff. sets the front desk employees’ schedules. oversees labor throughout shifts. Analyze each front desk employee’s work performance. keeps in contact and maintains working connections with all departments. keeps custody of the master key. confirms that appropriate communication and maintenance of accurate room status information are occurring. Responds politely, promptly, and effectively to issues raised by visitors. updates the group’s data. keeps track of, prepares, and maintains group needs. communicates information to the right people. examines and completes the report on credit limits. stays inside the front office budget allotted. gathers data from the outgoing shift manager and forwards relevant information to the new manager. At the conclusion of each shift, checks cashiers’ in and out and confirms banks and deposits. enforces all regulations related to credit, check cashing, and cash handling. organizes and carries out regularly planned meetings with front desk staff. always has on the appropriate attire. mandates that all front desk staff always wear appropriate uniforms. respects the hotel’s dedication to providing hospitality. Create front office-related performance reports. Examine status every day to optimize room income and occupancy. Analyze rate variations, keep an eye on credit records, and keep a careful eye on the number of houses each day. Keep an eye on the house’s selling progress every day. e.g., allotment, flash report, etc. Watch out for guests who are off balance and take necessary action. Make sure that all house rules and hotel policies are followed. Manage every facet of the Front Office computer system, such as basic setup adjustments, report creation and analysis, and program upkeep. Create forecasts regarding revenue and occupancy. Make sure that all mail, parcels, and messages are delivered on schedule and with professionalism. Make sure staff members are always alert, amiable, accommodating, and polite to managers and other staff members. Keep an eye on all requests and special visitors made by V.I.P. Make sure all stationery and front office supplies are kept at the necessary pars level. Examine the daily front desk tasks and the activity reports produced by the Night Audit. Every day, go over the guest feedback questionnaires and the front office log book. Organize and maintain a thorough file system that includes schedules, forecasts, reports, tracking logs, vouchering, and purchasing. carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
