Job Overview

Duties & Responsibilities

– Work under the guidance of the Certified Nurse, evaluates and delivers nursing care to patients with a focus on the patient’s needs.

– Help patients with everyday living tasks as per their care plan, such as serving meals and assisting with personal hygiene.

– Informs a registered nurse-RN right away about any significant changes in the patient’s health status.

– Handle emergencies of all severities in line with the organization’s guidelines and processes.

– Ensure smooth and detailed communication with patients, including both oral and written notes or messages.

– Work closely with the team of healthcare professionals to provide effective, patient-centered care.

– Manage records and participate in the use of information technology and electronic health records.

– Support registered nurses-RNs and office staff in any administrative tasks needed.

– Provide patients and their families with all the necessary information and resources to fulfill their healthcare needs.

– Uphold patient and family confidentiality by fostering respectful communication among the healthcare team.

– Offer suggestions on how to reduce costs and improve the use of resources.

– Keep the examination rooms well-stocked with necessary supplies and ready for use at the start, end of the day, and between patients.

– In a clinic setting: Engage with patients during their appointments. This may involve welcoming them, preparing their rooms, taking vital signs, getting them ready for tests or treatments, and explaining how to follow up on any instructions given.

– Make sure examination rooms, workstations, and the clinic area are well-supplied to ensure the care of patients is efficient.

– Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities as directed by the manager.
