Job Description Summary
Duties
Look for possible suppliers.
Look at and assess deals from different suppliers.
Talk about and agree on the details of the contract and the prices.
Keep an eye on orders and make sure they are delivered on time.
Check the quality of items you bought.
Fill in the order information (for example, Put information about sellers, amounts, and prices into our internal databases.
Keep current records of bought items, delivery details, and bills.
Make reports about buying things, including how much they cost.
Keep track of how much stock is available and order more when needed.
Work with the warehouse team to make sure things are stored correctly.
Go to trade shows and exhibitions to learn about the latest trends in your industry.
Needs and abilities
Experience working as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or a similar job.
Understanding how to find and work with suppliers (looking for, assessing, and communicating with them).
Experience using buying software.
Knowledge of how supply chain processes work.
Strong ability to analyze information, write financial reports, and evaluate costs.
Negotiation skills mean being good at talking and making deals with others.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Management, or a related area.
Have a car.
