As the Finance Controller, you will handle all money-related tasks and make sure everything is recorded correctly and on time, following company rules and legal requirements. Take care of finishing the financial records at the end of the month and oversee payroll, accounts receivable (money owed to us), and accounts payable (money we owe). Help with creating financial reports, budgets, and ensuring rules are followed during audits.

In this job, you will:

Handle all the steps of financial accounting tasks. “Recording, matching, and checks. ” Making sure we follow accounting rules and legal requirements.
Make sure invoices are sent on time and keep the invoice tracking chart up to date. Keep the days for receiving money below the budget and ensure that outsourced services for preparing invoices run smoothly.
Every two weeks, I check the money owed to us and give the management a monthly report about our debtors, pointing out any risks I see. I also match our records with what our clients say and confirm their balances every three months. Additionally, I help review and set credit limits twice a year and assist with the official audit.
Make sure the accounts payable process runs smoothly. This includes paying invoices on time and checking financial transactions in the accounting system.
Make sure the monthly financial records are finished after checking everything first and solving any issues with the relevant teams to ensure the numbers are correct and complete.
Check company submissions to make sure they are on time, complete, and correct. Look at the changes in balances and find reasons for any big differences so you can answer questions from the auditors. Make changes to the company’s financial statements as needed to follow the Group’s accounting rules and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Make sure to follow all local rules, like paying taxes (VAT and Corporate Tax), and keeping the right paperwork.
Keep track of money coming in and going out, and report how much cash is needed for daily operations.
Oversee the team by assigning goals and resources to meet the work plan on time and hold regular progress reviews.

Qualifications & Experience: To apply for this job, you need to meet the following requirements:

Completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar area.
Over 5 years of experience in finance, auditing, management, or accounting.
You will have an advantage if you have:

We are looking for someone with an Accounting degree who is a qualified accountant and has at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a large company and preferably in the travel industry.
Good accounting and technical skills in a service company that works in different areas and uses multiple currencies.
Ability to understand and work with big and complicated financial data.
